Toastmasters Club announces contest winners

Terry Bilancio of Bath was the winner in the Wine Country Toastmasters Club's annual Humorous Speech contest, and Lash LaRue was the winner of the annual Table Topics Speech contest, both held Tuesday night, September 16, 2008, at the Steuben County Healthcare Facility. Tom Cassetta, Toastmasters Area 15 Governor, presented the trophies. Bilancio and LaRue will compete in Area 15's Humorous and Table Topics Speech contests on October 10, 2008, at the JET Center in Elmira Heights as the Wine Country Toastmasters Club's representatives. Other participants and judges in the night's contests were Desiree Vail, Kathy Strack, Barbara McLaughlin, Bob Babcock, Judy Babcock, and Joyce Schwartz.

The Wine Country Toastmasters Club is one of more than 10,500 clubs around the world. Each fall members compete in club-level contests, through competition in the area, division, and district levels, and this year will climax at the organization's District Fall Conference on November 21-23 in Syracuse, NY.
