Judith Tadder Moir CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - Judy Moir, 65, died Thursday, Oct. 2, in a special care nursing facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, after a long illness. The daughter of the late Warren "Scoop" and Joyce Tadder of Avoca. Judy was a 1961 graduate of Avoca Central School. She also attended the State University of Buffalo. Judy was a math-science teacher and later for socially and emotionally disturbed teens for 30 years. Judy was most remembered in the area for her tenure at Camp Rathbone as water safety instructor and providing private swimming instruction at her homestead in Avoca. A resident of Aurora, North Carolina, she is survived by her husband, Rodney Moir, a native of Wayland; daughters, Sandra, Pamela and Kimberly; their husbands and childraen, Ryan, Brock, Meghan, Carl, Erkia and Michael; her brother, Richard (Susan) Tadder of Lake Alfred, Florida; and sister, Karen Tadder of Bristol, Connecticut.
