Wayne D. Tobias

BATH - Wayne D. Tobias, age 70, of Casey Lane, Bath, died Monday, Oct. 6.

He was born in Hornell, March 2, 1938, the son of Merle and Belldean Eves Tobias.

He was a Driver for Bud's Taxi Company in Bath. He was a member of the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173 in Bath and a Veteran of the Army Reserves.

He is survived by eight children, Cheryl Button of North Carolina, Kelly (Bill) Stonge of North Carolina, Butch Tobias of Bath, Rowland Tobias of Tennessee, John Tobias of Hornell, Robert Tobias of Avoca, Audrey (Lynn) Hyer of Bath and Scott Tobias of Hornell; step -sons, Charles (Deb) Hoad of Bath and Paul (Lisa) Hoad of Anderson, South Carolina; stepdaughters, Donna (Roy) Lathrop of Bath and Paula (Clarence) Dunn of Bath; three sisters, Eleanor Arnault of Florida, Delores Tobias of Pennsylvania and Margaret Tobias of Michigan; five brothers, William Tobias of Florida, Victor Tobias of Texas, Roger Tobias of North Carolina, Charles Tobias of Hornell and Gene Tobias of Texas; and special friends, Marina Presley and Ernie Crooks both of Bath. He was predeceased by his wife, Blanche Tobias.

Friends called from 12-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath with funeral services following at 1 p.m. with Reverend Jeff McDowell officiating.

Burial with Military Honors was in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
