Cloyse E. Sisson
He was born in Milo Center, New York on Feb. 15, 1930 the son of Floyd and Esther Pulver Sisson. Cloyse was employed by many different garages in Bath until starting his own business in 1984, S & M Body Shop, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2006. He was an Army veteran and a devoted father to his children. Cloyse was a member of the Charles E. Wescott American LegionPost 173 in Bath, a life member of the VFW Post 1470 in Bath and also the Himrod Conservation Club in Himrod, New York. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth 'Betty' Talbot Sisson of Bath; daughters, Jennifer (Jack) Lucia of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sarah (Charles) Keltz of Avoca; two sons, Stewart Buckley of Hawaii and Mark Buckley of Bath; grandchildren, John, Mary and Michael Lucia, Laura Leccerdone, Joe and Beth Ann Guilfoyle, Kristofer Keltz, Jeffrey and Jessica Buckley and Marcus, Bryan and Charlotte Fusco; eight great grandchildren; cousins, Harold and Emogene Enos of Penn Yan, Irene Jones of Syracuse, Shirley Sisson of Penn Yan and Iris Sisson of Eagle Bay, New York; brothers- in-law, Jack, Frye, James, Dale, Keith and Max Talbot and Howard Nichols; and sisters in-law, Catherine VanSkiver and Ruth (Tony) Tucceri. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 31 at Fagan's Funeral Home with Deacon Dan Slattery officiating. Burial will be in the Bath National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Cloyse's name may be made to the Southern Tier Hospice and Palliative Care, 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830. |
