BATH - In 2014, Sheri Nobles and Debbi Deats took on the project of restoring Bath's 100 year old historic "Welcome to Bath" sign located at the old Phillips lighting property on Rt 54. The sign was recently completed.

Through an organization that they started called Bath Revitalization, funds were raised through "Gateway to the Finger Lakes 5K Run and Walk" as well as a "large amount" of volunteer services through local businesses.

Chris and Becky Goodrich, owners of Goodrich's Auto Center, have always contributed so much to Bath and that legacy continued with this monumental project. Chris Goodrich and Brian Polmanteer at T&R Towing dismantled this monument took it to Goodrich's where it was sandblasted, primed and painted.

Haines Equipment in Avoca, Bill and Minnie Brennan and their family fabricated a new steel box that the letters would be mounted to appx. 24' long, and the box that holds the batteries for the solar lighting all delivered to Goodrich's.

Solar lighting, the batteries etc. came from Crystal City Signs out of Rochester. Goodrich's took on the task of coordinating the installation of the sign and then Rich Machuga, Machuga Contractors and Nobles installed the chain link fencing that the new signs (logos) are mounted on.

Pelham Electric, Jamie Rumsey completed the installation for the solar lighting and hanging the new signs that we had from the different service organizations.
