CORNING - Artwork from more than 2,000 local students is on display at the Corning Museum of Glass.

The Annual Student Art Show will run through May 14. The event is free to the public and will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The Student Art Show includes the works of students from elementary, middle and high schools in the Corning area.

The artwork at the high school and middle school level is judged in 20 different media.

Each year, the Museum also awards one local high school senior a scholarship to pursue their studies in art.

The student, who must have decided to major in art in college, is chosen by their school based on their artwork and academic standing.
