BATH - The Finger Lakes SPCA held a soft opening for its new shelter at 72 Cameron Street on Saturday.
Many area residents turned out to tour the new facility, deliver items from the SPCA's wish list and most of all, to adopt animals.
The new facility features rooms for dogs and cats, grooming areas, cleaning areas and isolation areas for new animals. There is also a barn and area for horses.
The SPCA also held a cookie sale and offered photos with Santa. Carolers also entertained the crowd.
The SPCA recently announced it has raised nearly $2.2 million of its $2.6 million capital campaign goal, but is still seeking to reach its goal.
