BATH — The Steuben County Sheriff's Office Warrant Squad made two arrests late this week, picking up wanted men.
On Friday, Sept. 14, deputies arrested John C. Hawley, 25, of Rodaha Drive, Corning. It is alleged that Hawley violated a term or condition of his probation.
He was arrested by members of the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office due to a probation warrant and turned over to Steuben County Deputies.
Hawley was arraigned in Steuben County Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail with no bail. No future court date has been set at this time. The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office in this arrest.
On Thrusday, Sept. 13, deputies also arrested Chad M. Billett, 38, of Woodstone Circle, Webster. It is alleged that Billett violated the terms of a child support order issued by Steuben County Family Court.
Deputies were notified that Billett was in custody for the warrant issued out of Steuben County, following a traffic accident in Monroe County.
Billett was turned over to Deputies and was arraigned in Bath Village Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 dollar property bond. Billett is scheduled to appear in family court.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the New York State Police in this arrest.
