Yamaha Motorsports has recognized Meghan English of Avoca, NY, as one of 18 outstanding students nationwide of Yamaha Motorsports dealers and their employees with a $3,000 college scholarship from its Dealership Scholarship Program.
English is the daughter of Bruce English or Arkport Cycles. She is studying Music Education (Instrumental Emphasis) at Houghton College.
“The Dealership Scholarship Program allows us to assist dealers and their employees with the growing cost of higher education for their children, and it shows the students that extra effort and hard work truly do have their rewards,” said Bob Starr, Corporate Communications Manager, Yamaha Motorsports.
The scholarship program helps families continue their student's education by rewarding those who excel in academics, leadership and extracurricular activities. A committee of educators sceens all applications.
Yamaha awards scholarships to children or grandchildren of Yamaha Motorsports dealers, children of dealership employees who have been with the dealership for at least two years and dealership employees who are under 21. Students must be enrolled or plan to enroll in school full time to be considered for a scholarship.
