Bath Village Police report that John E. Sabins, 23, of State Route 415, Bath, was charged with robbery on April 24 after an incident that occurred Dec. 16, 2012 where he allegedly held an employee at the National Hotel, 12 E. Steuben St., Bath, at knife point, ordered her onto the ground, stole money from the register, then forced her into the basement where she was ordered to stay for an hour or she would be killed. Sabins is currently being held at the Steuben County Jail on this and other unrelated charges.
