Three people accused of committing two armed robberies late last year in Bath have been indicted on more than 10 felony charges.
Derek A. Storms, 26, of Wellsville; Sheila D. Gay, 23, of Bath; and Jordan R. Guerin, 18, of Bath, were arrested after allegedly committing violent robberies Dec. 28 at two residences in the Village of Bath. They are accused of committing the robberies while armed with handguns.
According to authorities, the first alleged crime occurred shortly after midnight Dec. 28 at 7 Colonial Lawns. During the robbery, an unidentified woman was assaulted, police said.
Less than an hour later, a man reported an armed robbery at 12 W. Washington St. The caller said people armed with shotguns had entered an upstairs apartment. The report indicated a weapon was discharged sometime during the incident. The 31-year-old victim dove through a second-floor window to escape, police said.
The police investigation determined the two robberies were linked.
A Steuben County grand jury last week indicted Storms, Gay and Guerin on the following charges: Four counts of second-degree attempted robbery, a class D felony; two counts of firstdegree attempted robbery, a class C felony; two counts of second-degree assault, a class D felony; two counts of fourth-degree conspiracy, a class E felony; one count of second-degree criminal use of a firearm, a class C felony; and one count of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Additionally, Guerin was charged with first-degree attempted assault, a class C felony.
Storms was a probation officer at the Steuben County Jail at the time of his arrest. Sheriff Dave Cole said Storms would likely be fired.
The grand jury returned six other open indictments.
• Isaiah Waller, 20, of Geneva, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, both class B felonies. He allegedly possessed and sold cocaine June 22 in Hornell.
• Chad P. Felker, 31, of Corning, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He allegedly possessed an assault rifle and methadone July 30 in Corning.
