Several fire departments responded to an early morning blaze on Chidsey Hill Road in the Town of Pulteney.
A barn and several nearby structures were destroyed in the fire, which started at approximately 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. Farm equipment and hay were also lost.
The home on the property, owned by George Doty, sustained heat and smoke damage.
Firefighters continued to douse the smoldering ruins throughout the day and were concerned three silos that were near the barn could collapse.
According to Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike, all the livestock was saved, although some barn cats may have perished.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
