To the Editor,
We at Bath Baptist Church are concerned by the news that Philips is planning on closing its plant in Bath. The potential loss of these jobs would create hardship for many in our community. We have agreed to pray for the employees and their families at each of our prayer meetings for the next year. If you would like to join us in asking God to bless each of these men and women with continued employment, please feel free to join us at the church located at 14 Howell Street in Bath on Wednesday evenings from 7-8 p.m. or Saturday mornings from 7:30-8:30 a.m. A special 24-hour prayer vigil is in the process of being scheduled and will be held at the church in the near future.
