USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) announced that James Barber, State Executive Director for New York State FSA and members of his management team have scheduled a public meeting in Yates County at 9 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Yates County Office building in the auditorium, 417 Liberty Street in Penn Yan.
FSA’s public meeting will be the only one held to take public comment on USDA’s proposed office consolidation plan in which the Yates County FSA office is being considered for consolidation. Producers can also provide written comment by emailing James.Barber@ny.usda.gov or sending written comment to NY FSA, 441 South Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13202 no later than Friday, February 10, 2012.
All public comments will be taken into full consideration prior to development or implementation of a final consolidation plan.
