Disorderly conduct
CAMPBELL | Deputies report the arrest of an 18 year old female at the GST Coopers Boces campus on Wednesday. The female’s name is not being released as she may be eligible for youthful offender status. Deputies arrested the female for disorderly conduct after they observed her using obscene language in a public place. The female was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charges at a later date in the town of Campbell court.
Welfare fraud
BATH Deputies report the arrest of Linda A. Trescott, 54, of Colonial Lawns, Bath Tuesday for fourth-degree welfare fraud at approximately 1:20 p.m. in the town of Bath. Trescott allegedly defrauded the Department of Social Services out of an undisclosed amount of money. Trescott was arraigned in the village of Bath court and was released on her own recognizance. Trescott will reappear in the village of Bath court at a later date.
Assault
CAMPBELL | Deputies report the arrest of a town of Campbell resident on Sunday, Feb. 5 after an investigation into a report of a family trouble in progress occurring in the town of Campbell. Gerald D. Wray, 55, of Meads Creek Road, Campbell was charged with third-degree assault after deputies were dispatched to a reported family trouble in progress late Sunday morning. The charges filed against Wray allege that he assaulted Loretta L. Horton, causing physical injury to Horton after an argument that occurred between the two around 10:45 Sunday morning. Horton was transported to the Gutherie Corning Hospital for treatment. Wray was given an appearance ticket for the charge and will appear in the town of Campbell court at a later date.
Unauthorized police radio frequency
BATH | Deputies report the arrest of an 18 year old Bath resident Monday following a traffic stop on Geneva Street in Bath. The male subject was issued tickets for unauthorized police radio frequency receiving device and failure to obey a traffic control device. Allegedly the male subject had in his motor vehicle a scanner capable of receiving police radio frequencies. The male is to appear in the village of Bath court at a later date.
AUO/no license plate lamp
BATH | Deputies report the arrest of a Bath man Sunday, Feb. 5. Richard P. Snyder, 34, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and no license plate lamp following a traffic stop on Selleck Road. Allegedly Snyder was operating a motor vehicle with an alcohol related revocation. Snyder was issued traffic tickets and will appear in the town of Bath court at a later date.

Offering false instrument for filing
BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Scott D. Cambra, 51, of West Morris Street, Bath Wednesday with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing at approximately 12 p.m. in the village of Bath. Cambra allegedly tried to defraud the Department of Social Services out of an undisclosed amount of money. Cambra was arraigned in the village of Bath court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail with no bail. Cambra will appear in the village of Bath court at a later date to answer the charge.

• WHEELER | Deputies report the arrest of Kyle J. Babcock, 24, of Hornell Wednesday. Babcock was issued traffic tickets for disobeying a traffic control device, operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop on State Route 53. Babcock is to appear in the town of Wheeler court at a later date.
• CORNING | Deputies report the arrest of a Caton resident Feb. 2. Melissa A. McCarrick of Brown Hollow Road was arrested after a traffic stop in the town of Corning. McCarrick was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent and improper turn without signaling. McCarrick was released and will appear in the town of Corning court at a later date.
