Joint Education and Training (JET), operated by Arnot Health, offers multiple Infection Control Training courses as well as four new offerings in the winter/spring 2013 semester. The JET series has been designed to meet the continuing education and development needs of employers/employees throughout the region. JET is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).
Infection Control Training, ANCC: 2.5, will be held as follows:

• Customer Service: How YOU Can Make a Difference at Arnot Ogden School of Nursing on Thursday, April 25, 2013, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Dealing with Change in the Workplace, ANCC 3.5, will be offered as follows:
-At Arnot Ogden School of Nursing on Friday, April 26, 2013, 8:30 a.m. – noon.
-At St. Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, April 26, 2013, 1:00-4:30 p.m.
-At Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 29, 2013, 1:00-4:30 p.m.
• Managing Anger and Difficult Situations at Arnot Ogden School of Nursing on Monday, June 10, 2013, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
In addition to Infection Control Training and the new winter/spring courses listed above, JET will also offer 12 additional courses, four of which are ANCC accredited. Respiratory Therapist Day will be offered as a half-day or full-day course on March 21, 2013 with the morning session featuring two classes: The ABZ’z of Sleep Apnea and Ethics, and the afternoon session featuring two classes: Non-Invasive Home Ventilation and Portable Home Equipment – Matching The Patient To The Proper Device. Application has been made to the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) for continuing education contact hours for respiratory therapists.
