Michael J. Swartz, Bath VA Medical Center Director, recently presented George W. Mehr and James A. Lebak with their official 60th Anniversary Department of Defense Certificates of Recognition for Korean War Veterans.
Mr. Mehr served in the U.S. Army and fought in the famous battle of Pork Chop Hill.
Mr. Lebak served in the U.S. Marine Corps and, in addition to his distinguished service, played three tours with Bill Haley and the Comets.
Both Veterans have received numerous medals and citations for their honorable service on behalf of our nation.
