Five different players scored in double figures for sixth-seeded Prattsburgh Wednesday as the Vikings enjoyed its most prolific offensive output of this, or any season, dropping No. 11 Alfred-Almond 92-52 in the first round of the Section V, Class D1 boys basketball tournament.
Isaiah King led Prattsburgh (8-11) with 16 points, while Cameron Baird netted 13 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, Michael Schuck scored 13 points and Marcus Risley and Kyle Putnam each scored 10 points.
Alfred-Almond (3-16) was led by Tommy Jordan’s game-high 18 points and Chris Cook scored 17 points.
“It’s a great momentum builder and we’re playing our best ball of the year right now,” said Prattsburgh coach Ted Haydon. “I think it was just about getting into a rhythm and tonight we did that.” Prattsburgh led 45-26 at halftime and outscored Alfred- Almond 31-12 in the third quarter.
The Vikings will visit No. 3 Fillmore on tonight at 7 p.m.
