Corning Community College is pleased to announce the opening of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion. The Grand Opening will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 in the Triangle Lounge located in the Commons building on the Spencer Hill campus in Corning, NY. This event is free and open to the public.
President Dr. Katherine P. Douglas and student leader Brandon Griewank will begin the ceremony with brief speeches followed by an ethnic food potluck and an African drumming performance by Dr. Baruch Whitehead of Ithaca College and his students.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place around 12 noon at the center, where cake will be served. The Diversity Council will be on hand to give away free t-shirts.
