Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon, sponsored by Backyard Broadcasting’s WINK 106 and 100.9 The Big Pig radio stations, will be broadcast live March 6-8, 2013 in the Arnot Ogden Medical Center lobby. Radio personalities will be on the air from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 6 a.m. - noon on Friday raising funds to benefit Arnot Ogden Medical Center’s neonatal and pediatric services. The 2012 event raised more than $100,000 in pledges from the community.
“Backyard Broadcasting has been incredibly generous over the years, donating the airtime and talent to staff this amazing event,” said Alene Goodman, Children’s Miracle Network specialist.
The Radiothon will feature WINK 106’s Scott Free and Ally Payne and 100.9 The Big Pig’s Sandy Swan and Chris P. Bacon. The DJs will interview families who will share stories of their miracle children who spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and pediatrics. Listeners will be encouraged to call in and pledge their financial support to Children’s Miracle Network, which helps to provide funding for these life-saving services.
“Our community comes out in force to support the most critically ill infants and children in our area and we hope to make our 2013 Radiothon the most successful yet,” Goodman stated.
Donations can be made in advance of the broadcast by visiting  and selecting “Radiothon.”
