On August 20, 2011 Alison Avila and David Dockstader, Jr. were married at the home of David and Vicky Dockstader. They had an outdoor ceremony in a hay field in front of an arbor with antique John Deere tractors circled around. The arbor was decorated with white, green and yellow tulle with white and yellow silk roses entwined in the tulle. The guests sat on hay and straw bales. The bride is the daughter of Steve and Julie Baker of Avoca. The bride wore an ivory taffeta strapless gown with asymmetrical rouching and silver designs. Her veil was fingertip length with beaded trim. She was escorted down the aisle by family friend, Sean Nordland of Avoca, NY.
The maid of honor was best friend of the bride, Nadene Pyor of Avoca. Brides maids were friend of the bride, Harley Gerow of Avoca; sister of the groom, Brandi Bottum of Howard; friend of the bride Ashley Rogers of Cohocton; and friend of the bride, Kayla Miles of Avoca. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore a strapless, floor length chiffon dress with a central sash and bow in shamrock green.
The flower girl’s were Ember Dyer of Andover and Sahara Barker of Avoca. They wore a white satin dress with a John Deere green ribbon around their waist. The dresses were made by the bride’s grandmother.
The groom is the son of David & Vicky Dockstader of Howard.
The best man was uncle of the bride, Jeremy Woodworth of Andover. The groomsmen were uncle of the bride, Billy Cunningham of Greenwood; brother-in-law of the groom, Jereme Bottum of Howard; brother of the bride, Daniel Quintero of Avoca; friend of the bride, Chris Sagerman of Wallace. The groom, best man, and groomsmen wore the After Six Cyrus tuxedo with coordinating synergy ties and vest.
The two ring bearer’s were nephew of the bride, Jonathon Woodworth of Andover; nephew of the groom, Bradley Bottum of Howard. They wore black dress pants, white long sleeved dress shirts and vests with John Deere Tractors on them made by the bride’s grandmother.
The reception was under a tent in the back yard of David & Vicky’s house. The tent was draped in ivory tulle with silk butterflies clipped on. The dinner was a buffet with various dishes made by the bride and groom’s families.
The Bride is currently enrolled in Elmira College for nursing. The groom is currently employed by Gunlocke of Wayland.
Wedding guests came from New York, Texas, Pennsylvania and Canada.
The couple will reside in the Avoca/Howard area.
