The Hammondsport American Legion is updating the Roll of Honor on the village square and is looking to update their list of Urbana residents who have enlisted in the military while living in the town of Urbana. The Legion is looking for veterans of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan or any other campaigns.
Eligible Veterans will need to supply a campaign medal citation or DD214 to be include on the Roll of Honor.
The Hammondsport American Legion is also compiling a book of all residents who have served in the military. To submit your information to be listed on the Roll of Honor or military book, please contact Ken Sincerbox at brandi34771@yahoo.com or 407-729-0153 or Gary Gardiner at 607-776-9288.
