BATH | Susan Baker, 43, of 41 Greenwood St., Canisteo, was charged Nov. 19 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and no inspection.

Petit larceny
BATH | Christopher Lee Zmeic, 31, no address, was charged Nov. 19 with petit larceny.

STATE POLICE
Larcenies 


CAMPBELL | Troopers are investigating multiple thefts that occurred Nov. 16 in the Hidden Forest Homes development off of Taft Road in Campbell. According to troopers, someone stole a Darton compound bow from an unlocked vehicle on Maple Drive. At the same residence, a 14-inch Echo chain saw was taken from a shed. Nearby on Big Oak Drive, approximately $15 in quarters was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact Inv. Chris Wilkinson or Trooper David Morgan at 607-962-3282 or 607-962-6865.

Petit larceny
CORNING | Gerald D. Wray, 56, of Corning was charged Nov. 19 with petit larceny.  

DWI
• BATH | Joseph W. Kish, 25, of Campbell was charged Nov. 22 with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.11 percent, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway, and failure to keep right.
• WAYLAND | Kevin W. Beaupre, 47, of Wayland was charged Nov. 17 with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.11 percent, failure to keep right, and several other traffic violations following a two-car accident on County Route 21.

Assault
PAINTED POST| Jason L. Costello, 46, of Corning was charged Nov. 21 with second-degree assault.

Harassment
BATH| Devone J. Sapkaroska, 16, of Bath was charged Nov. 17 with second-degree harassment.

Endangering the welfare
BATH | Korbie L. Higgins, 21, of Hammondsport, was charged Nov. 18 with endangering the welfare of a child.

STEUBEN SHERIFFS
Failure to appear

AVOCA | Christine J. Gardner, 23, of County Route 105, Avoca, was charged Nov. 23 with failure to appear in court.

Punishable false written statement
BATH | Deputies report the arrest of a town of Campbell resident Tuesday in connection to a joint investigation conducted with the Steuben County Department of Social Services. An investigation into false information on a background investigation form submitted to the Department of Social Services on September 14, 2012 resulted in the arrest at the Steuben County Public Safety Building.
Charged in connection to the incident was Peter Abreu, 26, of Meads Creek Road of Campbell. Abreu surrendered himself to deputies after the investigation was revealed. Abreu had submitted false information about his prior criminal history on documents submitted to the Department of Social Services.
Abreu was charged with one count of making a punishable false written statement. Abreu was processed for the arrest and then issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the village of Bath court at a later date to answer the charge.

Multiple charges 

COHOCTON | Jeffrey S.

Howes, 21, of State Route 415, Cohocton, was charged Nov. 24 with unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of 0.18 percent or greater. A passenger, Ryan R. Mechlenbacher, 40, or Erie Street, Cohocton, was charged with unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle. The arrests came after a citizen called police to say that the men were firing guns from a vehicle on Akin Road.

Violation of probation
BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Aaron P. Silva, 41, of Oldfield Court, Bath, for violation of probation on Nov. 21, 2012 at the County Office Building. Silva was arraigned in  Steuben County Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 property bond.

Warrant of arrest
WAYLAND | Deputies report the arrest of Leo F. Schledorn, 34, of State Route 21, Wayland, on a warrant of arrest out of the town of Wayland court on Wednesday. Schledorn was arraigned at the town of Wayland court and is being held at the Steuben County Jail.

Several charges
ADDISON | Deputies report the arrest of Jason E. McCallum, 34, of County Route 101, Woodhull. At about 1 a.m. Oct. 28, 2012 McCallum was stopped by deputies on Goodhue Street in the village of Addison for a vehicle and traffic violation. It was discovered by deputies that McCallum was allegedly under the influence of alcoholic beverages while operating his vehicle. McCallum was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and having an insecure/hanging license plate. McCallum was processed and released with several citations. McCallum is set to appear in the village of Addison court at a later date.

Probation violation


CORNING | Laura Aiken, 25, of Corning was arrested Nov. 23 on a probation violation. Aiken was sent to the Steuben County Jail without bail.

LIVINGSTON SHERIFFS
AUO/possession of marijuana

AVON | Vance N. Gardner, Jr., 37, Hornell, NY, was arrested November 16, charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana. Gardner will answer charges in the town of Avon court on a later date.

Several charges
LIVONIA | Jeffery A. McKee, 57, Dansville, NY, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property accident, failure to stop for a stop sign, failure to keep right and failure to submit to a pre-screen test on Nov. 16.  Following arraignment in the town of Livonia  court, McKee was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail/$5,000 property bond. McKee will return to the town of Livonia court to answer charges on a later date.
