The Bath Area CROP Hunger Walk Committee has announced that a total of $12,413.44 was raised by walkers in this, the 29th Bath CROP HungerWalk. This amount was $1,805.44 more than last year’s total.
A quarter of the funds will be donated to local food pantries and the Pro-Action Nutrition Program for the Elderly. The remainder will be used for disaster relief and self-help and development programs all over the world.
The following groups participated in the Walk: AAUW Bath Branch, Bath American Legion Post 173, Bath Kiwanis Club, Bath Methodist Church, Bath Presbyterian Church, Bath Rotary Club, Bath VA Center, Dana Lyon Middle School (grades 4 and 5), Dormann Library, Hammondsport Methodist Church, Hammondsport Presbyterian Church, Kanona Methodist Church, Knights of Columbus, Pulteney Presbyterian Church, St. Gabriel’s Church, St. Mary’s Church, St. Thomas’ Church, Savona Church of the Good Shepherd, Senior Class of Avoca Central School, Venture Crew (young adult Scouting), and the Wheeler Methodist Church.
