The Steuben County Health Care Facility has been sold to Centers for Specialty Care Group, LLC for nearly $11 million.
County legislators unanimously approved Monday the sale of the 105-bed facility after CSEA officials lobbied for the vote to be tabled to allow for more time to consider the matter.
Legislators said they have spent the last two years studying the sale, and blamed the state for holding back on promised financing and imposing the 2 percent property tax cap.
Final negotiations will now begin, with no date set for the sale to be closed, county Administrator Mark Alger said.
Centers for Specialty Care Group, LLC owns Founders Pavilion in Corning.
