BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Aaron P. Silva, 40, of E. William St., Bath on May 31 on a charge of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at the Steuben County Offices and Court Complex in Bath. Silva was arraigned in the village of Bath court and released to re-appear in the village of Bath court at a later date.

SAVONA | Deputies report the arrest of a Tompkins County resident on June 2 on a warrant issued out of the Steuben County Family Court. Dianea A. Kohl, 65, of Gray Road, Ithaca was arrested by NY State Police in Tompkins County and custody was transferred over to the Sheriff’s Office. Kohl was transported to the village of Savona court where she was arraigned due to Steuben County Family Court not being in session. Kohl was remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $500 bail.

TROUPSBURG | Deputies report the arrest of Christopher R. Tomb, 25, of Purple Brook Road in the town of Westfield, PA on June 3 for second-degree criminal contempt. Allegedly Tomb violated a order of protection that stated he was to stay away from the home of a protected party, and that on June 2 Tomb went to the home of the protected party who resides in the town of Troupsburg. The protected party was not home at the time. Tomb was arraigned in the town of Jasper court and is to appear in the town of Troupsburg court at a later date.
Endangering the welfare of a child
BATH | Deputies report the arrest of a Monroe County resident on June 2 after an investigation stemming from a complaint on May 26, 2012. Gregory W. Longwell, 21, of Bending Creek in Monroe County was arrested and charged with one county of endangering the welfare of a child after deputies investigated a complaint made on May 26 that Longwell purchased alcohol for underage kids in the town of Bath. The charge alleges that Longwell acted in a manner that was likely to be injurious to the physical and moral welfare of a child under the age of 17 when he purchased alcohol for a 16 year old child. Longwell was processed and released with an appearance ticket to appearance ticket to appear in the town of Bath court at a later date.

Forgery
BATH | Joseph R. Bennett, Jr., 25, of Kanona, was arrested for second-degree forgery after he allegedly stole checks from a residence and cashed them at various locations in the Villages of Bath and Cohocton. He was arraigned in the village of Bath court and released on his own recognizance.
