Aggravated DWI/Inadequate exhaust

BATH | Bath Police report the arrest of Valarie Hudok, 50, of Bath for aggravated driving while intoxicated and inadequate exhaust. Hudok was released on her own recognizance and is to appear in the village of Bath court at a later date.

DWI/backing unsafely
BATH | Bath Police report the arrest of Bradley Vogt, 25, of Bath for driving while intoxicated and backing unsafely. Vogt was released on his own recognizance and is to appear in the village of Bath court at a later date.

Petit larceny arrest warrant
BATH | Bath Police report the arrest of Jeffery Duell, 24, of Syracuse for a petit larceny arrest warrant. Duell was arraigned in the village of Bath court and was remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $500 cash/$1,000 property bond.

STEUBEN SHERIFFS
Unlawful possession of marijuana

ERWIN | Deputies report the arrest of Tioga, PA resident Thursday evening. Deputies Canine Daimon arrested Leonard C. Van Order, 29, of West End Road. Van Order was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. After deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle parted on Troy Road in the town of Erwin. Van Order was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear in the town of Erwin court at a later date.

Several charges
WOODHULL | Deputies report the arrest of a 44 year old man of Cameron on January 17, 2013. The arrest follows a medical call where Alan M. Smith was found to be unconscious in a motor vehicle. The motor vehicle was located in a front yard of a Woodhull residence. Smith was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest. Smith was charged with felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, felony driving while intoxicated and refusal to take a breath test. Smith was also found to be in possession of marijuana. He posted bail and was released to appear in the town of Woodhull court at a later date.

Tampering with a witness
BATH | Deputies report the arrest of a Rochester man, Eddie L. Robinson, 28, currently an inmate in the Steuben County Jail on unrelated felony charges was arrested for third-degree tampering with a witness. Allegedly in the early part of January 2013, Robinson threated another inmate with physical harm if the inmate didn't sign a false statement which would have exonerated Robinson of the other pending felony charges. Robinson will be arraigned in the town of Bath court on the tampering with a witness charge at a later date.

MVA
HOWARD | Deputies report details of an incident Monday. One person was injured in a one care motor vehicle accident that occurred on County Route 14 in the town of Howard. Deputies report a vehicle being operated by James A. High, 46, of Rexville, NY, was traveling West on County Route 14 when he lost control of the vehicle on the slush covered roadway. High's vehicle went off the left side of the roadway striking an earth embankment, then rolled over, coming to rest on its roof. High complained of back pain and was transported to St. James Hospital in Hornell for treatment. High was ticketed for unlicensed operation, failing to keep right and speed not reasonable due to road conditions. High will appear in the town of Howard court at a later date.

Arrest warrant
• PRATTSBURGH | Deputies report the arrest of Miriam M. Owens, 27, of County Route 7, Prattsburgh on Monday. Owens was arrested on a warrant of arrest out of Cortland County, Family Court for failure to obey a family court order.
• BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Matthew N. Marvin, 28, no address given, at approximately 12:30 p.m. January 25. Marvin was arrested at the Steuben County Office Building after deputies discovered that an active arrest warrant for Marvin's arrest had been issued out the the Washington County Sheriff's Department in Fort Edward, NY. Marvin's original charges were fourth-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest. Marvin was turned over to the Washington County Sheriff's Department.
• BATH | Deputies report the arrest of William P. Niver, 33, of Velie Road in Bath on January 25 on a warrant of arrest out of Schuyler County. Niver was turned over to Schuyler County Sheriff's Office.
• BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Elizabeth H.A. Potter, 18, of Garfield Street in Newark, NY, at approximately 4 p.m. January 25. Potter was arrested at the Steuben County Office Building after she turned herself into the Steuben County Probation Department. Potter was arraigned in the village of Bath court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail. Potter is set to return to the village of Bath court at a later date.
