Just as he’s done time and again during a remarkable high school diving career, Addison’s Alec Fleet topped himself once again Saturday.

Fleet placed first at the Section V, Class C diving championships to earn his fourth consecutive berth in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association swimming and diving championships.

Fleet set a new school and pool record with a winning score of 513.95, breaking his own record of 471.35 set in 2012.

“As a parent and coach, I couldn’t be more proud,” said Tom Fleet, Addison’s diving coach and Alec’s father.

Bath Haverling’s Peter Skelly finished second with a score of 457.10 and also earned a spot at states.

Fleet and Skelly will each move on to the state diving championships, which will be held March 1 at the Webster Aquatic Center. Last year at states, Fleet finished 13th. He’s hoping for a top-10 finish this season.

Addison’s Benjamin Hamilton finished fourth in the Class C competition with a score of 307.95, while Bath teammates David Morris (286.25) and Shayne Stonier (273.55) finished sixth and seventh, respectively.

Campbell-Savona’s Gabrielle Fonseca placed 10th overall in Class C with a score of 253.55.
