Campbell-Savona’s Joel Rosko and Bath Haverling’s Mitch Buckley each went 3-1 during last weekend’s Super Sectionals held at SUNY Brockport.


Rosko opened his tournament in the 138-pound class with a first-round pin against Kendall’s Nick Bilyk, won a 4-2 sudden victory decision against Canisteo- Greenwood’s Nick Hosmer in the quarterfinals, topped Fillmore’s Cody Marriott 6-4 in the semifinals and fell 5-0 to Palmyra-Maecdon’s Taylor Jones in the finals.


At 220 pounds for Campbell- Savona, Kevin Holford went 2-2 with a first-round 9-5 win against Warsaw’s Dakota Higgins and a 2-1 tiebreaker victory against Byron Bergen’s Phillip Walter. His teammate Ethan Hall won his consolation match at 106 pounds via 6-2 decision against Arkport’s Michael Adler and Nick Simons recorded a 4-3 win at 182 pounds in his consolation match, taking down Trey Bruni from Sodus.


Buckley lost a close 5-2 decision in the 145-pound class to Letchworth’s Austin Hedges in the semifinals for a second-place finish. His teammate, R.J. Metz, finished fell in the semifials of the 113-pound class by a 4-1 score.


Overall, Midlakes beat out Warsaw for the team championship, while Addison finished fifth, Bath Haverling placed 23rd, just in front of 24th-place finisher Hornell. Campbell-Savona was 28th overall, Avoca was 40th and Jasper-Troupsburg placed 46th in the 50-team statequalifying tournament.
