Sydney Farmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Mary Farmer of Hammondsport, has been announced as the Valedictorian of the 2013 Senior class at Hammondsport Central School.
Sydney has been active in National Honor Society, Ski Club, Student Council, Academic All-Stars, Vintage Yearbook, Tennis where she was Captain of Varsity Tennis, as well as holding several class officer positions during high school.  Sydney has also volunteered at the Public Library, Camp Good Days, and at many other community activities/events.  
Sydney’s final college choice is undecided at this time, having received acceptance at Hofstra University, Binghamton University, and the University of Vermont.   Her major will focus on International Business.
Lauren Binnert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Thomas and Lynn Binnert of Hammondsport, has been announced as the Salutatorian of the 2013 Senior class at Hammondsport Central School.
Lauren has been active in Student Council, National Honor Society, Softball, Cheerleading, and Volleyball-where she was previously co-mvp of the League, as well as Team Captain.  Lauren has also held several class officer positions during high school, and has been involved in numerous volunteer activities, both in school and the community.
Lauren was accepted at the University of Tampa, Ithaca College, Hofstra University, Drexel University, Binghamton University, and Clarkson University. Lauren will be attending the Ithaca College in the fall, majoring in Psychology.         
The remaining top ten in the Senior Class are:
Connor Amsden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey and Julie Amsden of Hammondsport;
Matthew Lowin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jon and Lynda Lowin of Hammondsport;
Brooke Clark, daughter of Ms. Nancy Clark of Hammondsport and Mr. Paul Clark of Hammondsport;
Ryan Eckel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Patricia Eckel of Hammondsport;
Kareena Hoyt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and Dawn Hawley of Hammondsport;
Carmen Coppola, daughter of Ms. Amy Kuczka of Elmira and Mr. Marcus Coppola of Elmira;
Kaley Bray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cesar and Christine Villena of Bradford, and Mr. Charles Bray of Habersham County, Georgia;
Megan Erway, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Yvonne Erway of Hammondsport.
Graduation is scheduled for June 21, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium or outside (weather permitting) at the Hammondsport Central School.
