Representatives of the Arc of Steuben will be collecting cans and bottles for the month of March to benefit the Hornell YMCA’s renovation project.
Residents and associates from the East Main Street and VanScoter Street residences and associates from the Community Supports division will be accepting cans and bottles through March 31.
Anyone wishing can drop off cleaned cans and bottles to 129 East Main Street. Please make sure all cans and bottles are clean and rinsed prior to drop off.
The Hornell YMCA is in the midst of a capital campaign with a goal of raising $1.6 million. Part of the renovation project is for a new pool. Many of the individuals who receive services from the Arc of Steuben benefit from using the YMCA’s pool for recreation, physical therapy and exercise.
