The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), Chapter 1294 held its monthly meeting on February 11, 2013 beginning with lunch at 12:30 p.m. at the Bath Country Club.
Char Silliman was the featured speaker and gave a program on Identity Theft. Char provided information on how your identity can be stolen and several different ways you are able to make it not so easy for the perpetrators to steal your identity. The program was extremely interesting to members and several questions were asked.
The Steuben County Youth Board presented NARFE member, Ben Joseph with the Youth Service Worker of the Year Award for serving as a volunteer coach for over 50 years with the community Little League and basketball programs in the Bath area and the Bath Haverling basketball program.
Their next meeting will be held March 11 with Traf Doherty of the Curtiss Museum presenting a program.  Anyone interested in participating and would like lunch, call 607-776-3738 for reservations.
