St. Joseph’s Hospital has received a full three year accreditation from DNV Healthcare (Det Norske Veritas Healthcare, Inc.). With the successful completion of this most recent audit, Arnot Health’s Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital are three of the fewer than 300 hospitals nationwide to have successfully attained DNV Hospital Accreditation.
Arnot Health elected to partner with DNV Healthcare in 2010 for NIAHO® Accreditation (National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations). DNV Healthcare’s NIAHO® Accreditation process sets a rigorous standard through their unique annual survey and continual compliance requirements utilizing quality-, innovation-, and continuous improvement-based assessment metrics.
“Arnot Health is committed to providing excellence in compassionate, patient-centered health care,” said Greg Finch, Arnot Health System Director for Patient Experience and Accreditation. “DNV Hospital Accreditation for our three hospitals is a testament to the continuous improvement efforts that are assessed by DNV against rigorous, quality-based standards.”

Arnot Health provides diagnostic, ambulatory, secondary and tertiary acute care, as well as rehabilitative and wellness services to the Southern Tier of New York and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. The three-hospital regional healthcare system, an independent, not-for-profit organization, has a total of 809 licensed beds, including 493 acute care, 231 long term care, 40 physical medicine rehabilitation, 25 psychiatric, and 20 substance abuse rehabilitation. The system currently has more than 300 physicians from 50+ specialties.
