Hammondsport 74/Arkport 44

HAMMONDSPORT | Jordan Schuck scored 20 points and dished out seven assists Wednesday, leading Hammondsport to its 11th win of the season in a 74-44 SCAA boys basketball game against Arkport.


Dan Becker scored 14 points for the Lakers (11-2), while Gavin Cornish netted 11 points, Trenton Kolo scored 10 and Ryan Graves chipped in two points to go along with nine rebounds. Arkport was led by Brian Markel’s game-high 24 points, while Craig Lewis poured in 14 points.


Hammondsport blew open in the game in the second quarter, outscoring Arkport 23-5 for a 41-15 halftime lead.


The Lakers will host Avoca on Friday. 



Boys Basketball/Nonleague


Naples 64/Prattsburgh 55 



PRATTSBURGH | Jake Ball scored a gamehigh 19 points Wednesday, leading Naples past Prattsburgh on the road.


Isaiah Tilley scored 16 points for Naples (9-1), while C.J. Kobus scored 14 points and Nik Tilley chipped in seven points. Prattsburgh (5-7) was led by Isaiah King’s 16 points and five assists, while Andrew Schick added 13 points and Michael Schuck chipped in five points to go along with nine rebounds and four blocks.


Prattsburgh will visit Bradford on Friday.

ARKPORT | The Blue Jays closed out the regular season in four games Wednesday, defeating Prattsburgh.


Arkport lost the first set 15-25, then won three straight by scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-21.


Josh Presher led Prattsburgh (1-7) with 13 kills, seven blocks, five assists and two service aces, while Will Stockton had seven assists, two aces and six kills and Peter Smock served up 12 points, including five aces, to go along with two kills.
