BATH, NY George R. Kavulok, 91, passed away on Sunday December 11, 2016 at Ira Davenport Hospital after a brief and unexpected illness.
BATH, NY George R. Kavulok, 91, passed away on Sunday December 11, 2016 at Ira Davenport Hospital after a brief and unexpected illness. He was born in Shoe String WY., on April 28, 1925 the son of the late George F. Kavulok and Mary Bocek Kavulok.
He graduated from Haverling High School.
He married Clara Louise Noble in 1949 and she predeceased him in 2002.
He worked for Corning Glass for 43 years and owned and operated Bath Laundry Mats for many years. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and served for many years on the Vestry and also did many of the mechanical jobs at the church. He was also honored as a Saint of St. Thomas in 2010 awarded by the Bishop.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife and 2 sisters Stella Elliott and Angela Wolney.
He is survived by his daughter Marilyn (David) Dowdle of Bath, NY, grandson David (Tami) Dowdle of Bath, NY, great grandchildren Shannon Dowdle, Sierra Dowdle and Jessica Dowdle, great great grandson Colton Johnson, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were observed on Friday December 16, 2016 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath, his Funeral Service was held on Saturday December 17, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Burial at Nondaga Cemetery.
