Carol Fay Love of Bath, NY passed away December 22, 2017 after a lengthy stay at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was born February 17, 1943 to Arvel Cook and Una Belle Horne. She had a twin brother named Harold and they grew up on a farm in West (By God) Virginia that included four older siblings: Margaret Perkins, Leona Jones, Bill Horne and Arvel Horne Jr.

Carol had many talents in her day.  She could design and sew her own clothes, she baked incredible made to order, delicious cakes, wrote published poetry and was a self taught talented painter. Carols’ pictures and painted plates grace the walls of many including her doctors office.

Mom was also an excellent cook and as a child of five we always had sitdown dinners that included dessert, before we turned into busy bodies ourselves.  Carol was also a part of the grape vine grafting at Bully Hill in the early to mid 1970’s.

Ten years ago at this time, my mom was diagnosed with esophogial cancer and beat it! Here’s to my friend, loving mother,  grandmother, great grandmother and wife of thirty-eight years to Jerald E. Love of Bath, NY.  May you be at peace and know how much you are loved, missed and forever in our hearts.. She leaves behind her Husband Jerald E. Love, five children: Timothy (Timmie) Akers, Ricky D. (Kristine) Akers, Char-Mae Wilkinson, Robert Lee Tyler and Irene Fay Sprague, and two step children: Judith Love and Jerald Love II and many grand and great grandchildren.

This is her poem she wrote:

ME and YOU

You, I like too.

For your love of

yourself is true.

Me from deep down in

I love and need you

as a friend.

And we need each

other too.

For a friendship is

Born for me and you!
