Frank W. Cotton, 55, of Corning passed away on December 9, 2017, after a short hospital stay at the Corning Hospital.
Frank W. Cotton, 55, of Corning passed away on December 9, 2017, after a short hospital stay at the Corning Hospital. Frank was born in Hornell, NY at the St. James Hospital to Leroy and Rosella Cotton on Feb 21, 1962. Frank worked at the Arc of Steuben Work Center for over 25 years. He recently retired from there in Oct 2017.
Frank was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling, bingo, social events and community activities. Frank was a former member of the American Legion.
Frank loved music especially the old-time country and western style and had made two trips to Nashville to visit the Grand Ole Opry. Frank had a large record collection of which he was very proud.
Frank was survived by his father, Leroy Cotton (Canisteo), his brother William Cotton (Arkport), his brother Doug Cotton (Cameron) and his long time girlfriend Shari Reynolds (Painted Post). Frank was predeceased by his mother Rosella Cotton who passed away in 1984.
Frank will be truly missed by his family, friends and acquaintances throughout the area. There will be a memorial service to honor Frank’s life at the United Methodist Church at 201 N. Hamilton St. Painted Post, NY. The service will be held on Jan 20, 2018 at 11am. Friends and family are invited to attend. A graveside service will be conducted in the Spring at a place and time to be determined.
