Mary E. Stratton, age 80, of Bath, NY died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Taylor Health Center.  She was born Nov. 17, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA. Mary was raised into adulthood by Charles and Ida Palmer.  Mary had worked as a clerk for many different retail and grocery Store businesses in the Bath area. One of Mary’s legacies is her love of music and dance, she was known for her beautiful voice and she passed this musical legacy onto her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most important to Mary was her home, her family and her faith.   She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church of Bath.
She is survived by her son, John (Rose) Stratton of Bath; daughter, Karen (Terry) Miller of Hammondsport; son, Todd Stratton (Susan Travis) of Watkins Glen; grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Heil, Wendy Partridge, Bradley (Dena) Miller, Tara (Cory) Lathrop, and Todd Axtell; 11 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gordon Stratton of Corning; and sister-in-law, Verda Davis of Bath.  She was predeceased by her husband, William P. Stratton; and son, Andrew Stratton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at Fagan’s Funeral Home in Bath with Reverend Paul Rowley officiating. Burial was in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
