Spencer J. Partridge, age 78, of Mount Juliet, TN passed away on Saturday, July 3 at the Mount Juliet Health Care Facility. Spence was born on Dec. 14, 1931 in Avoca, the son of George and Marjorie Edwards Partridge.
Spence was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather (poppa), and great grandfather. He loved them all so much. Spence loved working in his yard. He was employed for 32 years at Perry & Thompson Ford in Bath, as the service manager. He proudly served four years in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, of 58 years; one daughter, Penney Carlton of Hermitage, TN; two sons, Scott (Linda) Partridge of Mount Juliet, TN and Phillip Partridge of Homosassa, FL; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin (Erma) and Gilbert (Eleanor) Partridge both of Avoca; one sister, Virginia Burritt of Hornell; also Uncle Otto (Madge) Edwards of Prattsburgh; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Spence was pre-deceased by parents, George and Marjorie Edwards Partridge; and two brothers, Carl and Edward Partridge.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday July 8 at Fagan’s funeral home with Reverend Barbara Gifford officiating. Burial with Military honors was held in Seaman’s Cemetery, Savona.
