Mansel L. Stone, age 87, of Bath, died Tuesday, June 29 at the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, Bath.
He was born April 6, 1923 in Pulteney, the son of Preston and Edna Love Stone. Mr. Stone was retired from Mercury Aircraft in Hammondsport. He was a member of the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173 in Bath, Bath V.F.W. Post 1470 and the Bath BPOE 1547. He was a World War II Army Veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Steven (Victoria) Stone of Ventura, CA and Shawn Stone of Albany, NY; sister, Mildred Gavette; and brothers, Fenton (Joan) Stone, Theron (Mary) Stone and Donald Stone all of Hammondsport.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Bowers Stone; brother, Wendell Stone; and two sisters, Janet Dolliver and Lillian Sullivan.
Friends called from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, July 14 at Fagan’s Funeral Home in Bath. A Memorial Service followed at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Deacon Dave Lafortune officiating. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Bath.
