Leonard D. French II, 52, of 7809 Van Ness Rd., Hammondsport passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 20.
He was born March 17, 1958 in the town of Urbana, the son of Leonard D. and Eleanor Johnson French Jr.
Lenny was a heavy equipment operator for the town of Urbana for over ten years, prior to that he was vineyard manager for Bully Hill Vineyards, he was a member and treasurer of the Hammondsport American Legion War Dads, a cat and Harley Davidson lover, avid farmer and was a devoted husband and father.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Brown French; daughter, Allecia Brutsman of Alfred; step-son, Terry (Stacie) Dalaba of Hammondsport; brother, Donald Osborn of NC; sister, Kathy Rodriquez of NC; grandchildren, Tyler Dalaba, Abby Sack, Kelsey Sack, Garret Paine; sever nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; son, Leonard D. French III on July 12, 2002; and sister, Patricia Tait.
Friends called from 12-2 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the LaMarche Funeral Home, 35 Main St., Hammondsport. After calling hours everyone was invited to Lenny and Donna's home for a celebration of his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fingerlakes Humane Society, 7315 State Route 54, Bath NY 14810 or the Epilepsy Foundation.
