Lois B. Barnes, age 82, of Bath, NY died November 24, 2012 at home. She was born June 8, 1930 in Bath the daughter of Arthur and Cynthia Anderson Burleson. She was a member of the Bath Baptist Church and the Ira Davenport Hospital Women’s Auxilliary. Lois was a graduate of Haverling High School in 1949 and Cobleskill Agriculture and Tech School in 1951 with a degree in Nursery Education. She retired from Corning Glass.
She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Barnes (Keith Mowery) of Canyon Country, CA, Hope (Ray) Long of Bath, NY, Nancy (Paul) Caudill of Brownsboro, AL and Elizabeth (Douglas) Bastian of Wilmington, IL; six grandchildren, Geoffrey Ryan Tjomsland, Leigh Tjomsland, Holly(Brian) Johnson, Lacey (Frank) Long, Kyle Bastian and Ian Bastian; four great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, John Creamer of Bastrop, TX; blessed friends, David (Nancy) Stewart and John and Cindy (Dimmick) Mickinkle; and several nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by Geoffrey Barnes, father of her four children; brother, Roland Burleson; and sister, Carol Anne Creamer.
Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 at Fagan’s Funeral Home in Bath, funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Dale Kee officiating.
Burial will be in Nondaga Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials in Lois’s name may be made to the Bath Baptist Church, 14 Howell Street, Bath, NY 14810 and Care First, 11751 Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830. Online condolences may be made at www.fagansfuneralhome.com.
