Anna J. (Reese) Lynk passed away peacefully, July 21 at Ira Davenport Hospital with her family at her side.
She was born to Clarence and Lucille Shettler in Pulteney, NY on March 23, 1916.
Anna graduated from Hammondsport Central School and then continued to Elmira Business School. She owned Bay Side Inn Restaurant in Bradenton, FL and worked at, Mercury Aircraft, vineyards, and Hammondsport Central School and was also was a homemaker and mother for many years. Anna was a long time member of the Eastern Stars and Rebekahs.
She is survived by her sister, Ethel Stone of Hamburg, NY;her six sons, Albert (Bobbie) of Lake Worth FL, Kenneth (Pat) Reese of Rutledge, TN, Leonard Reese of Asheboro, NC, Dennis Lynk of Leroy, NY, Raymond (Barb) Lynk of Pavilion, NY and Jack (Pat) Lynk of Bath, NY; and five daughters, Jessie (Charles) Barrett of Titusville, FL, Marion (Bill) Perry of Hammondsport, NY, Norma (Gary) Reynolds of Bath, NY, Helen Lynk of Wayne, NY and Lillian Para of Hammondsport, NY; 56 grandchildren; 132 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren. Also, by in-laws, Char Lynk of Fort Myers, FL, Carol Lynk of Wyoming, NY and Dick Hoad of Prattsburgh, NY.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Lucille (Lamphier ) Shettler; sister, Alice Peck; brothers, Elwin and Ruben Shettler; husbands, Verne Reese and Ernest Lynk; sons, Ernest Lynk, Jr., Alfred Lynk and James Lynk, daughters Arleda Shaut, Deloris Billings, Nancy Hoad, and Katherine Gilbert.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, July 25 at LaMarche Funeral Home, 35 Main Street, Hammondsport, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m0 Monday, July 26. Interment will be at Hope Cemetery in Corning. After the service a reception will be held at Hammondsport Fire Hall in her memory.
There will be an Eastern Star memorial service Sunday 4pm at the funeral home immediately followed by a Rebekah service.
