I am writing this in response to Larry Cook’s recent letter to the editor. Let me begin by saying that I know Larry personally, although I haven’t talked to him in years, and I respect Larry’s views and opinions…he is truly justified in many of his comments and is committed to his belief’s…and is not afraid to challenge the status quo.
The nation of Iran has not attacked anyone in 200 years? Unless the news reports and pictures captured on TV are somehow staged, I do believe they attack someone…themselves!!
Looked to me like their “citizen’s” were severely beaten, some killed, all threatened, for pursuing the same freedom to express their views as we do here. Every oil rich nation in our gunsights? Sounds like panic and bitterness, as I don’t believe that is our objective…and many of these nations ask for our help, and information, pictures tell us we should be wary of them, for example Saudi Arabia had most of the “fanatic” killers of our citizen’s on 9/11.
How can anyone justify Saddam’s actions, brutality and no regard for his own masses, WMD or not…we are better off today with him gone…the serial murderer got what he deserved.
Putting Iran in any equation is disaster, especially a nuclear bomb. The Iran government has made it clear that they cannot be trusted or believed, anyone who believes their intentions for nuclear good is being misled. I am personally glad we have nuclear weapons, to deter any fanatical ambitions that all these terrorists have…I don’t see any good that can come from Iran having a nuclear weapon. The events of 9/11 are not justifiable by any nation, and to think more of the same won’t happen if fanatical terrorist nations have nuclear weapons is being naïve and tunnel focused. I do not believe we intend to kill women and children, where as terrorists make it a point to intend to kill innocent people, as well as themselves.
Terrorists are gutless and send women and children to do their dirty work. We need to be aware and prepared for this here, just watch the live news feeds on current terrorist attempts in our country recently…not intended??
After all the Bush-bashing, are we really better off today? The Dems are trying to bankrupt this nation, are sneaky in their partisan efforts, and continue their political ambition to control our lives. Taxes continue to go up, our borders are pourous and should be a Federal, not just a state concern.
Ever hear of MS-13? They continue to cross the border illegally and their intent is not a positive one. And there is more homeless, people continue to lose their life savings and houses, cannot afford Health care and will be forced to get it.
Corporate America is a major issue, and it is all about the money. We need more focus here to get these cheats under control. When I think of our current Leadership, it is like watching ObaMoe, Larry Reid, and Curly Pelosi….but it isn’t funny.
