The 15th annual Steuben County Jazz Festival was held April 13th at Haverling High School, featuring jazz bands from area high schools as well as the “Jazz Educators,” a jazz band comprised of the music teachers from area schools.
As anyone in attendance can attest, it was a phenomenal evening! A big round of applause to all of the student musicians as well as the instructors that have laid the foundation of learning and the love of music within these students.
The record attendance at the jazz festival is a visible testament that the community is not only supportive, but appreciative of the arts as well! We are so very fortunate to have active, vibrant music programs available on a variety of levels for all to enjoy.
It is unfortunate that our own Bath Board of Education members missed out on such an enjoyable evening of a program they have all vocally expressed supporting.
Again, kudos to all involved!
