Flash! Prattsburgh has once again come back into the 21st century by re-introducing recycling as part of our effort to help the planet.

If you think a 400 foot machine, weighing 164 tons, with enormous moving parts, isn’t a safety hazard, then you have simply been misinformed.

The recent Village of Bath Board Meeting was attended by the current contractor of the electric upgrade claiming no responsibility for prior contractor decisions, and the Village Attorney stating that “For the betterment of the whole”, residential zoning was void.

There is a vocal group of people in Prattsburgh who seem determined to use industrial wind as a wedge to drive people into opposing camps and keep them from working together.

Recently the US Census Bureau announced that nearly 1 in 2 Americans have fallen into poverty or are scraping by on an earning that classify them as low-income, the working poor.

In the Dec 25 issue of The Courier the page 2 headline was “Klugo chastises board”. Such a headline would make one think the Bath Village Board had done something wrong.

As I awoke on Christmas morn, I was filled with joy that Santa and his reindeer were able to make it to Prattsburgh and past the hazards of the wind turbines. Will he just pass over this town someday? For there may not be any peace or good will to man here anymore?

Letter to the Editor,
This letter liberally references Brig. Gen. Jim Cash’s article entitled “Another Government Cover-up” in the January 2011 edition of Military. I agree with his assessment that the contrail observed off the coast of California in November 2010 resembled a missile launch contrail, not an aircraft contrail.

I can’t believe we will eliminate recycling in this town. After spending between $100,000 & $200,000 dollars on attorney fees, we can’t afford recycling?
