Many have written and made suggestions as to what could possibly be done with the old Dana Lyon School. Many good ideas have surfaced, I for one would like to suggest using part of the complex for a youth center. Our village/town is in dire need of a place for kids to meet and have fun in a supervised setting. A place where they could play old arcade games, sit and chat, play cards, pool, ping pong, air hockey etc. A place where kids can get together with friends or make new friends. With the recent cuts in child care, many of our youth will become "latch key" kids. Having a safe, friendly environment to go to after school for an hour or two could make a difference for many kids. Let's move forward and start putting into motion all the wonderful idea's from the community. There are developers available that would take on this project and make the old Dana Lyon School a profitable and useful building once again. What are we waiting for?
