AVOCA- The Twin Rivers Track Club participated in a summer league track meet at Avoca Central School and came away with some good performances. In the 6 and under girls division Samantha Wolfe was a triple place winner as she finished fifth in the 50 meter sprint, sixth in the long jump, and ran a leg of the 400 relay team that placed fourth along with Madeline-Ann Knapp and Mallory Brewer.
Chris Cordes lead the boys with three placings as he sixth in both the 55 hurdles and the 50 sprint, and was part of the second place 400 relay team with Raymond Glunt, Taner Hoag, and Kaden Hough. Hough also finished third in the 55 meter hurdles, and Glunt finished third in the 50 meter sprint.
In the 7 and 8 boys division John Wood was a triple place winner taking third in the high jump, fourth in the 55 hurdles, and sixth in the 50 sprint. Lucas Richtmeyer was a winner in the discus event, and Conner Holley finished fifth in the 50 meter sprint. In the 11 and 12 boys division Jay Thomas lead the way with wins in the 400 and 1500 meter events. Nicholas Reed won the discus, and Marshall Brewer grabbed a pair of fourth places in the long jump and 55 hurdles. Brewer, Thomas, Connor Holley, and Carter Holley combined to take third in the 800 meter relay.
In the 9 and 10 girls division Isabella Reed was a quadruple place winner on the night. Reed finished second in the 55 hurdles and the high jump, sixth in the 50 sprint, and teamed up with Anastasia Reed, Ashlynn Stratton, and Olivia Grant to take first place in the 800 relay. Anastasia Reed also contributed a pair of third places in the 55 hurdles and the high jump. Stratton also had a first in the high jump and a third in the 55 hurdles. Alexa Wolfe sprinted to a third place finish in the 400 meter race. Brooke Hough also competed in this age division. Jared Wills lead the boys with a win in the discus and a fifth place in the 50 sprint. Jacob Whoitmore sprinted to third place in the 50 sprint, and Dalton Richtmeyer threw the discus for a win. Wills, Whoitmore, Bryce Harris, and Sage Brinckerhoff teamed up to finish second in the 800 relay.
In the women's open division Nicole Hoag won the shot put event, and Megan Rosko captured second in the 700 race walk. On the men's side Brett Rosko hauled in a pair of second places in the 400 and 1500 meter events. In the women's sub-masters division Bona elliott won the 700 race walk, and on the men's side Scott Detzler won the 700 meter race walk. In the women's master's division Regena Rosko won the 700 meter race walk event.
