CORNING - Bonnie Mann has been promoted to Health and Wellness Director at the Corning Community YMCA.
Bonnie who is a professional boxer- winning 2 world titles, All Marine Boxing Hall of Fame Member, and also served 8 years in the US Military as a Marine.
Bonnie is also a motivational speaker and Certified Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. She has been involved in the fitness community for over 20 years, Bonnie’s experience and expertise is a great addition to the Y’s team.
“Our MISSION can only be accomplished through much MOVEMENT....and our Y is committed to us POURING into our community with a PURPOSE and that is to SERVE the MOST!” stated Bonnie Mann. “By that I mean we want to be involved greatly in community outreach and educate and provide services that serve our entire community not just a portion of it.”
“So as the new Health and Wellness Director it is my personal mission to first identify our community needs in terms of programming. I want to work alongside my staff to implement classes and programs that are new to our Y as well as some that will be new to this area. The Y is so much more than a swim and gym and I am looking forward to getting out into the community and reintroducing the community to “THEIR YMCA!”
Bonnie will oversee personal trainers, group exercise, speciality classes, and will work on growing collaborations with members, community partners, and staff. She will also promote and lead the Y’s Healthy Weight and Your Child iniative and Diabetes Prevention Program throught the YMCA of Greater Rochester.
