CORNING - Erwin Valley-Painted Post cruised to a 15-2 win over Horseheads in the title game of the 12-under Cinderella World Series Sunday.
EVPP was pushed by the offense of its top five batters, who scored 13 of the runs in the win.
In the circle, Maddie Jerzak struck out five and allowed just single runs in the third and fourth innings for EVPP.
EVPP scored three times in the top of the first inning as Abby Reppert, Ellie DeRosa and Maddie Stewart crossed home plate. In the game, Reppert and DeRosa scored three times each, while DeRosa scored four times.
Maddie Dibble added two runs for EVPP, while Sadie Beres and Kayleigh Sparks scored once.
After a five-run third inning, EVPP's lead grew to 8-0, before it added four runs in the fifth, one run in the sixth and two more in the seventh.
Kailee West scored in the third inning for Horseheads, while Macayla Mosher came home with the team's second run in the fourth.
Emily Huntley took the loss for Horseheads.
